Semi-seasoned Hardwood

This is wood that Peter and I chainsaw, collect, split, cut and send straight out to customers in bags.  It is predominantly Ash and all comes from a local land estate. 

The timber has been seasoning in the round for over a year but will not be fully dry or ready to burn.  The final part of seasoning will now be accelerated as the wood has been split open but how long it will take to be ready is hard to say.  When I delivered to customers in April the wood was under 20% in July but obviously that was during a dry and warm spell.  To be completely on the safe side it might be best to plan on burning these next year.  If they are fully dry this year great but I would never recommend burning wood that isn’t fully seasoned.
